Verification of Competency Guideline
This guideline supports members by providing:
A formal documented mentoring process for mobile equipment operators who cannot otherwise provide evidence of their operational experience and competence.
An assessment process for mobile equipment operators and road truck drivers directed by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) as deemed by the member.
These processes are designed to support members to perform their work safely, without risk to other workers and the community.
The scope of the guideline is inclusive of:
- Establishing a mentoring process and pre-Verification of Competency Log Book for Mobile Equipment Operators.
- Appointing a SME.
- Conducting a Verification of Competency assessment.
