One slip up uncovers OHS dangers

An employer that failed to provide and maintain safe systems of work after an employee slipped on a ladder and suffered burns from hot tallow has been fined $40,000. The County Court of Victoria ruled that the Laverton pet food manufacturer breached the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 because it did not monitor and enforce staff training.
